Mission/Background :
Drawing on the knowledge in life and information science that we have cultivated over the course of the company's history, we strive to develop technologies for analyzing biological information. For example, we develop software for predicting gene functions and proprietary techniques for mining useful genetic information. Our mission is to contribute to the resolution of challenges in areas ranging from human health to environmental protection by supporting clients' research and development efforts. Genaris provides comprehensive genomic solutions including Next-Generation sequencing and bioinformatics services, and metabolomic analysis services using LC-TOF-MS. We are in close cooperation with Beckman Coulter Genomics and they provide services such as genomic sequencing experiments, whereas we are responsible for consulting and a suite of bioinformatics services. Also we offer comprehensive metabolomics services using our established method of faster and more accurately analyzing data from LC-TOF-MS.

Technology & Business
|
Genaris Bio-IT department provides wide range of services for genomic analysis, including microbial genome annotation to integrated human genome variation analysis platform. Through a tight alliance with Beckman Coulter Genomics in the U.S., we offer a one-stop service from sequencing to easy-to-use database/visualization system for analyzing Next-Gen sequencing data (GiNeS, GiGS). On the other hand, our metabolomics analysis service metaAtOnce enables complicated comparison of large number of various samples by analyzing them under the exact same condition with LC-TOF-MS. By using our proprietary data clustering technology, BL-SOM (batch learning self-organizing map), one can discover the differences between samples, not only within known, but also in unknown ingredient/component groups. Our unique approach can be useful for ingredient selection or quality assessment stages in addition to various R&D applications.
