Mission/Background :
GeneDesign was established to help produce the initial discovery phase to clinical trials for nucleic acid drugs such as siRNA, aptamer, decoy nucleic acids, CpG oligos and antisense. Our CRO and CMO works now involved in nucleic acid drugs development, we are working aggressively to develop new production methods. Utilizing our expertise, we have launched a GMP manufacturing facility that can supply sterilized product filling in a class 100 isolator system-- the only site of its kind in Japan. |

In addition to the follow-up system for preclinical drug discovery from the nucleic acid drugs have been done so far to start the launch of investigational drugs GMP manufacturing facility, we continue to develop GMP manufacturing system under study drug administration. This facility can be supplied as a sterile investigational pharmaceutical formulation of nucleic acid drugs. Production has been developed according to each customer as a contract manufacturer. As a concrete example, the yield improvement of the synthetic RNA, PEG, and ribbon-type decoy were succeeded. In addition, we received the following license.
1. Production of siRNA, licensors and sell (Alnylam Corporation, USA)
2. Production of artificial nucleic acid LNA, licensors and sell (Danish company Exiqon)
3. Manufacture and sell the license of Alexa-labeled nucleic acids for the fluorescent label (company Invitrogen / Molecular Probe, USA)
4. BNA production of artificial nucleic acid, licensors and sell (BNA, Inc. Japan)
