Mission/Background :
Since its founding in 2017, Space BD has been engaged in utilizing space, including the International Space Station (ISS), by providing a wide range of services such as business plan development, technical operational support by engineers, and extensive transportation options to space
We are the only company selected by JAXA as a commercial service provider for all projects open to private sector use in the ISS "Kibo" Japanese Experiment Module. These include satellite deployment services, external platform utilization, and protein crystal growth experiments.
In the life sciences field, we support space experiments leveraging the unique microgravity environment, such as high-quality protein crystal growth and cell culture experiments conducted in the "Kibo" module. Believing in the potential of space to accelerate drug discovery and regenerative medicine research, we are working to promote space experiments as a new research platform. |

1. Satellite Launch Services
We provide transportation services to deliver payloads, such as small satellites, to space. Through flexible procurement of transportation options and technical support from engineers with experience in space development, we enable fast, affordable, safe, and simple access to space.
2. "Kibo" Utilization Services
Inside the "Kibo"
The microgravity environment inside the Kibo module supports experiments such as high-quality protein crystal growth, cell culture, and material experiments without using crucibles.
Outside the "Kibo"
The external platform allows for exposure of equipment and samples to the space environment, supporting technology demonstrations and marketing initiatives.

Typically, space experiments incur costs for launch, retrieval, astronaut operations, and more. JAXA currently offers a cost reduction program, which can reduce space expenses by 90-100%, depending on the conditions.
