Mission/Background :
Aquaflonix Co., Ltd. is a startup based in Nagaoka City, Niigata, Japan, dedicated to the commercialization and promotion of sustainable aquaponics systems. The company develops integrated fish and plant production systems, supports aquaponics facility deployment, cultivates edible roses, raises sturgeon, and promotes environmentally friendly agricultural solutions. Its mission is to create a circular agricultural model that balances productivity, food value, and environmental sustainability. |

Technology & Business

Aquaflonix uses aquaponics, a system in which microorganisms break down fish waste into nutrients for plants, and the plants help purify the water before it is recirculated to the fish. Using a cultivation method that manages the root zone directly in water without a growing medium, we produce edible roses under the brand name “Rosa Renova.” We also support the installation of aquaponics facilities, provide operational consulting, raise sturgeon, and propose ways to use organic liquid fertilizer. Through these activities, we are working to bring sustainable circular agriculture into practice.

In the same year, the Nagaoka facility began operations, achieving stable growth and the first flowering of edible roses cultivated using aquaponics.
