Mission/Background :
molmir is coined by a combination of molecule and Japanese miru, a verb meaning observe. molmir develops platform by analysing molecular dynamics. We are developing treatment methods for incurable diseases, such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), by capturing amino acid level molecular dynamics. As a startup accredited by Nara Medical University, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technologies and Tokushima University, molmir is thriving as a platform based on scientific technologies, collaborating with various institutions. molmir received a research grant by Mitsubishi UFJ Technology Development Foundation FY 2024. We endeavored on business development in the UK by participating in the JETRO, METI initiative J-StarX BioUK Launchpad program. On January 2025 molmir received Deep Tech Venture of the Year 2025 award which hallmarks our technological innovation. molmir aspires to provide novel treatments for patients suffering from intractable diseases by observing molecular dynamics. |

molmir enables proteins that cannot be targeted or protein in motions that are ideal targets which have not been sufficiently studied to be targeted by molecular dynamics observation. molmir tackles incurable diseases to be solved. As core technologies of molecular dynamics observation, molmir develops CHEmir and MAGmir. CHEmir is a molecular dynamics assessment method by analytical chemistry technique which stratifies conditional changes of samples comprehensively. molmir uses CEHmir with solution NMR for the evaluation of protein dispersion and aggregation among ALS patients. MAGmir is a molecular dynamics technology capable of analysing proteins which are hard to be crystallized or large proteins which were impossible to be analyzed. molmir integrates interdisciplinary seeds, technologies and wisdom of medicine, biology, chemistry, physics, engineering and informatics which Japanese academia is internationally competitive. By outputting those researches molmir addresses social issues in real world.
