In the field of microorganisms, we have successfully enhanced environmental resilience and secondary metabolite productivity in microalgae, yeast, E. coli, lactic acid bacteria, and animal cells. Compared to genome editing or genetic modification, our technology offers a broader range of applications and improvement opportunities, all while being free from regulatory restrictions.

Technology & Business
Neutron beam breeding is a plant improvement technology that utilizes naturally occurring "mutations" and employs quantum rays (neutron beams), a type of radiation. While conventional radiation methods such as gamma rays or heavy ion beams typically take 3–5 years to create new strains of plants (such as flowers, vegetables, and grains), neutron beams can achieve the same results in about half the time, ranging from 1–3 years depending on the species, with some strains requiring as little as one year. With an exceptionally high mutation rate of 1–39%, neutron beams deliver consistent and predictable effects, dramatically shortening development timelines. In microorganism breeding, new strains can be developed in about two months—roughly one-sixth the time required by traditional methods—or as quickly as one week under optimal conditions.
